Reporting note: this is an update published in July 2026, not a claim that all figures represent exports made during July. Each number below keeps the period stated by its source.

Processed food: $2.432 billion in January–April
The Food Export Council reported processed-food exports of $2.432 billion for January–April 2026, up from $2.272 billion in the same 2025 period—a 7.1% increase. Arab markets represented $1.126 billion, while the European Union accounted for $551 million. These are January–April values published in June, included here as the latest official value benchmark available for the July update.
Engineering exports: a 2026 target, not an achieved result
At the Egypt Power Show on 6 July, the Engineering Export Council said it is targeting engineering exports of around $7.5 billion for 2026. The event connected Egyptian manufacturers with buyers from 20 countries. The $7.5 billion figure is a target and should not be read as year-to-date exports.
Buyer implications
- Capacity is visible, but allocation still matters: large national totals do not guarantee a supplier slot, grade or packing format.
- Fast-growing produce needs early quality planning: agree maturity, size, residue, cold-chain and inspection specifications before loading.
- Processed food opportunities are market-specific: formulation, shelf life, registration and label language can change the viable route.
- Engineering sourcing benefits from buyer missions: use factory evidence, certifications and technical drawings instead of relying on sector targets.
Data cut-off: 17 July 2026. ExpertExporter will update this report when a newer official Egyptian release materially changes the picture.
