1. Fix the product and HS code before pricing the shipment
The Kazakhstan importer and customs broker should confirm the EAEU HS classification, duties and taxes, prohibited or restricted status, and whether a licence, declaration or certificate of conformity is required. Requirements can differ for fresh produce, processed food, textiles, cosmetics, stone and other goods.
2. Confirm the destination compliance file
Kazakhstan applies EAEU technical, sanitary and customs rules. Depending on the product, the importer may need an EAEU declaration or certificate of conformity, state registration, veterinary or phytosanitary permissions, laboratory evidence, and Russian and/or Kazakh labelling. Obtain the importer’s written checklist before production and printing packaging.
3. Build the Egyptian export file
The Egyptian side should confirm valid exporter/customs registrations, commercial invoice, packing list, transport details, Nafeza UCR and export customs declaration. Controlled goods may require inspection or export permission. Plant products may require Agricultural Quarantine inspection and a phytosanitary certificate; food and other regulated goods can require the competent health or product authority.
4. Prove origin correctly
Use the origin document required for the shipment and current trade treatment. GOEIC’s agreement and origin services should be checked for the exact destination and transaction. Kazakhstan/EAEU also maintains non-preferential origin rules. The importer and broker should confirm whether an original certificate, electronic verification, or additional evidence is needed.
5. Match every document before loading
Names, addresses, product descriptions, HS code, quantities, gross and net weights, package count, lot marks, country of origin and transport details should be consistent across the invoice, packing list, certificates and customs records. Resolve differences before the cargo reaches the port or airport.
Destination rules change by HS code and product. This page is a planning guide, not a customs decision. Obtain a shipment-specific written checklist from the Kazakhstan importer/broker and verify Egyptian steps with the relevant authorities before production and loading.
